Warehouse & Inventory
IFS ERP delivers a powerful inventory and warehouse management module that goes far beyond stock counting — with location-based tracking, batch and serial number management, bin optimization, shipment planning and automatic replenishment. As inventory accuracy rises, so does the reliability of your planning, production and sales processes.
Inventory Tracking and Location Management
Warehouse locations (zone, aisle, rack, bin) can be defined in detail; every stock movement is recorded instantly, and inventory status is monitored in real time. So at any moment you know not only how much of a material exists, but exactly where it sits and in what status.
Lot and Serial Number Traceability
Batch and serial-number traceability provides end-to-end records in industries where recall readiness is critical — food, pharma, chemicals, automotive and aerospace. Which batch came from which supplier and went to which customer is reported instantly.
FIFO, FEFO, LIFO and Custom Issue Rules
Issue rules such as FIFO, FEFO (by expiry date) or LIFO are applied automatically by the system, reducing waste and scrap risk for shelf-life-controlled products. Because the rule engine automatically selects the right batch in reservations and picking proposals, errors driven by operator discretion disappear.
Material Movements and Transfer Processes
Intra-warehouse movements, inter-warehouse transfers and inter-site transfers are executed under control through request, approval and receipt steps. With every transfer step recorded in real time, there is no need to wait for period-end to reconcile stock.
Automatic Replenishment and Counting Processes
Replenishment proposals are generated automatically from order points and min/max levels. Periodic counts and cycle counting keep inventory accuracy under continuous control, with count differences posted through an approval flow.
WMS Scenarios and Cross-Module Integration
Warehouse processes such as picking, packing, loading and shipping are executed with handheld/barcode support. Warehouse management works in native integration with the manufacturing, procurement, sales and maintenance modules.
Key IFS Capabilities
These are the IFS Cloud capabilities we configure most often in warehouse and inventory projects:
Processes It Works With
The warehouse is the hub that feeds production with material and receives what production completes; purchasing's goods receipts create the stock inflows, sales shipments the outflows, and quality decisions the blocking and release movements. Because all of these transactions happen on the same data model, inventory accuracy is not a separate effort — it is the natural outcome of the process.
With WiseApp, every movement in your warehouse is on record: the right stock, in the right place, at the right time.
