Sales
IFS ERP manages the entire sales cycle end to end, from quotation to order and from shipment to invoicing. The sales process can be automated in different ways depending on product type, supply strategy and customer demand — delivering a consistent customer experience on one platform, without separate systems per scenario.
Make to Stock (Standard Item Sales)
For standard products, stock availability is checked the moment the order is entered, inventory is reserved and the shipment process begins. ATP (Available to Promise) checks let you commit to reliable delivery dates.
Make to Order / Configure to Order
For configurable products, the sales order is built through the product configurator according to customer requirements, and it automatically triggers production and supply orders. Configuration rules block unbuildable or incompletely defined combinations already at order entry.
Buy to Order (Direct Purchase)
For products sold without holding stock, the sales order automatically creates the purchase order to the supplier. Goods can be shipped directly to the customer or routed through the warehouse.
Project Tied Sales (Engineer to Order)
In engineering-intensive, customer-specific business, sales orders are tied to the project structure; revenue, cost and progress are managed through the project. Changes on order lines are reflected instantly in the project plan and cost estimates.
Shipment and Warehouse Management Integration
Sales orders flow through integrated picking, packing and loading processes. Dispatch notes and invoices are generated in step with the shipment.
Campaign, Price and Discount Management
Price lists by customer, customer group, product and period — along with tiered discounts and campaigns — are defined in the system and applied automatically to orders. Because the pricing logic is central, the same current conditions apply no matter which channel the order comes through.
Key IFS Capabilities
These are the IFS Cloud capabilities we implement most often in sales projects:
Processes It Works With
Sales orders are planning's primary input; through DOP they trigger production and purchasing, through reservations they set warehouse and shipping in motion, and through invoicing they connect to finance. Every change on the order is reflected instantly across all of these processes on the same data model — the promise made to the customer and the reality on the floor never drift apart.
With WiseApp, every sales scenario flows seamlessly through IFS: accurate orders, reliable promise dates, a consistent customer experience.
